Tradition, values, and craftsmanship
Despite that change, František Myšák’s legacy has endured to this day. A creative approach, a sense of humour, emphasis on high-quality ingredients and modern technologies and processes are timeless principles for the team of pastry chefs led by Lukáš Pohl. And we still honour those principles in our pastry production today.
Confectionery loved by presidents
Myšák’s cakes are nothing new at Prague Castle. The First Republic patisserie delivered desserts to the first two presidents of Czechoslovakia.

“Masaryk loved apricots. For his 80th birthday, we literally crammed the cake with them.”

František Myšák Jr. recalls how he and his father baked a cake for the first president of Czechoslovakia.

A Renaissance treasure from the 16th century
Myšák at Prague Castle is located on the premises of the opulent Schwarzenberg Palace, one of the most striking Renaissance structures in Prague. The palace was built in the 16th century for the aristocratic Lobkowicz family and was later acquired by the Schwarzenberg family. Today it serves as an exhibition space for the National Gallery.
